Not catching signal to turn on through either buttons

 

This alarm controller arrived safely and on testing was found not to be transmitting on either button.  On opening there was some contamination around the button array.  This had made the buttons high in resistance.  Both were replaced and the board given an alcohol bath.  This restored normal operation.
