Unit works intermittently. It's just about in one piece but I notice one of the solders has come loose.

 

This garage door controller arrived safely and on inspection the case was held together by tape.

When tested the led would illuminate but no signal was present.

This was due to a broken aerial coil which was soldered back into place as well as poor joints on the oscillator.  These joints were resoldered which restored full functionality.
