Customer's Fault Description
Remote stopped working, I changed the batteries but still not working. Small blue LED top ricght not showing. Suspect IR LED failure. Also stop button on bottom row is not clicking like the rest of the buttons. (has been difficult to operate for a few weeks)

 

This PVR remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to have erratic button response.

On opening there was a mass of liquid contamination which had seeped under the button array at the bottom of the PCB.  This was causing a few buttons to become resistant and sticky.  The PCB and array was cleaned up using alcohol which restored full functionality.
