Battery almost flat but cannot physically open the timer

 

This electric curtain remote control arrived safely and on inspection the battery indicator was confirmed to be very low.

The back was difficult to open due to the plastic being stuck together probably due to the length of time since last opening and being in a sunny / heated environment.  The back was eased off eventually and a new Duracell battery was fitted which restored full power.
