Customer's Fault Description
The "down" volume button no longer works but I imagine all the contacts could do with attention. However, if the volume button cannot be made to work, please return the remote to me as the rest of it still works.

 

This Sony control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have various sluggish / non responsive buttons.

This was due to 2 issues, the first was worn button contacts, this was repaired by fitting replacement conductive button caps.  The second issue was a cracked solder joint on the IC, this was resoldered.
