Customers Fault Description : The remote doesn't do anything tryed new batteries but nothing. It hasn't been dropped just sat there since last year.
This fireplace control arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting.
After a conversation with the customer it was found that the fireplace was functioning and that the remote was problematic. The common issue with this control is the oscillator causing an erroneous signal as well as bad joints. The oscillator was replaced and the joints resoldered.
The customer is requested to test the remote on return for any issues.
