Customer's Fault Description
remote wont turn fire on. Ive tried fresh batteries. The controller makes a slight flash of the LED light but thats about it.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace remote and receiver arrived safely but unfortunately had no identification with it as to who it belonged to or what the fault was.
After a few weeks the customer contacted us and we were able to verify its ownership and then diagnose the issue.
The receiver was not responding to the remote button presses. This was due to a battery leakage in the receiver itself (see images)
The battery block was replaced and the PCB cleaned which restored full functionality.
