Customers Fault Description : volume control not working properly,works intermitently if you give remote a hefty tap,not good.All other buttons seem fine

This Linn remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be intermittent and would work / not work when tapped.
On opening the issue was found to be due to the battery terminals having broken solder joints. The terminals were resoldered firmly back into position which restored normal functionality.
