The 'flame up' and 'flame down/stand by' buttons do not work.

This fireplace control arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was missing, also the top of the remote was split apart due to broken fixing pins (this was glued back together.

On testing the remote was found to be transmitting on both the up and down channel.

The item was opened to test for any issues but no fault could be replicated.  It may be possible that the remote needs repairing with its receiver or the receiver may be at fault.  Please double check the batteries in the receiver and replace with new ones before attempting to re-pair the items.
