Customer's Fault Description
The down button on remote does not work. Can turn gas up but can’t turn it down. Sometimes get a little bit of engagement when pressing down button but basically doesn’t work.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the battery compartment in the receiver had visible signs of corrosion / leakage from faulty batteries (see image).
On testing the down channel was erratic. The batter housing was replaced and the 40khz crystal replaced in the receiver which restored full functionality.
No issue could be found with the remote itself.
Please only insert quality batteries in both the remote and handset to reduce the risk of another battery leak.
