The remote control is no longer working, despite we have replaced the batteries
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be intermittent.  On opening there were a couple of issues found.  The button pads were contaminated, this was cleaned up.

One of the oscillator capacitors was cracked at one end making an intermittent connection, this was replaced along with the second capacitor.  This restored full functionality.
