Customers Fault Description : Remote works OK but a brand new battery runs out within a few days.(even without using it) Also, the battery connector wire came loose so I have fixed it myself. May need checking.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This gas fire remote control arrived safely and on inspection the PCB had signs of a historic contamination which was covering the 3.3v voltage regulator. This was effectively shorting the battery input.
The PCB was given an alcohol scrub to remove all contaminants and the battery cable was replaced. This restored full normal functionality and no excess power is being drawn.
