Customers Fault Description : Put new battery in to handset. All symbols are displayed on the screen but when I use it to light the fire nothing happens. The fire lights ok when I use the wall switch.

This RF fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting as per normal operation. The item was opened to check for defects but no fault could be replicated. It is therefore thought that the issue is with the receiver itself, check the batteries in the receiver and also try to Pair the remote with the receiver using the standard method.
