Customers Fault Description : Not working New Battery caused overheating near the low Battery LED
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely, the IR red cover was missing - this cant be replaced and doesnt effect functionality. On testing was found to be transmitting on most buttons. The head and feet buttons on the right column were either not responding or sluggish.
This was due to worn contacts, replacement conductive caps were fitted under the bad buttons which restored the response.
The battery connections wires were replaced as they were poorley soldered.
It was when the testing video was being made that another issue was found, two of the four Infra red LEDs were not transmitting, this was due to two of them being blown open circuit (this might explain the customers "warming of the board").
The two blown IR leds were replaced which restored a signal from all 4 LEDs
