It stopped working, have changed batteries , remote appears to be dead, but I did temporarily see the communication light on the console
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Bose controller arrived safely and on testing was actually found to be transmitting all the time without any button being pressed.

On opening there was a tiny corrosion spot surrounded by contamination which was shorting out part of the button array.

The print was cleaned up and the corrosion spot reworked which restored normal functionality. 

It is curious that the receiver was not indicating a "communication" light when it was permanently transmitting as it should have been illuminated all the time the remote had batteries in.  Due to this the customer is to test the remote fully on return but please remember to ensure that brand new batteries are used as previously inserted batteries may be drained due to the remote constantly transmitting.
