Customers Fault Description : Power struggled (cant switch item off, sometimes would come on on its own)
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This ID8 remote control arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminals had signs of corrosion / battery leakage.
On testing no signal was being transmitted on any button press.
On opening there was a mass of contamination (most likely from the battery leakage) over a few of the button contacts (see image). This was cleaned up and the terminals re-coated using conductive paint.
This restored full functionality.
