FLAMERITE YCT-100 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Customer would like to get electric fire back up and running after years in storage. Have looked at out of goodwill but believe problem may lie with remote and would like to get it looked at by an expert so it can hopefully be recoded back to the fire.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fire control arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting as per normal operation.
It is advised that the customer check that a 12 volt battery is being used instead of the similar sized 1.5 volt battery just in case this is the issue. Failing that it may be that there is a issue with the fire receiver itself.
