Keyton Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Keyton

Customers Fault Description : It no longer connects to the chair the chair can still operate manually

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Keyton remote arrived safely from Spain and on inspection was found to have a badly damaged button facia and screen cover (see images)

On testing the item was found to be dead, one of the battery terminals was found to have corrosion over it (see image), this was from a battery  leak.  When opened there was a mass of liquid acid inside the controller, this was cleaned by giving it an alcohol wash.

When re-tested the control was found to power up and transmit a signal.  Please note that the customer may need to "pair" this remote with its chair on return.

A replacement facia was fitted as well as a new battery terminal.
