No buttons working (some response if wire is pushed at the point of entry to remote control.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection the cable at the remote end is loose but sadly the internal wires are "putrified", this is whereby the insulation of the internal wires becomes like putty and leads to short circuits.
Normally the cable would be cut back to bypass any breaks but in this case due to the breakdown of the insulation a cut back is not possible.
After talking with the customer it was concluded to try to make a custom cable. When attempting this a scrap cable was found on a remote that was left with us, this had less putrification in the cable and was able to be cut back a few inches.
