Customer's Fault Description
The remote control (an old model No. not visible) works intermittently and now seems to have stopped working completely, even after changed a new battery.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Wickes garage door remote control arrived safely and on testing the battery terminals were found to be loose causing an intermittent power issue. The terminals were reworked which restored functionality. It was then found that the button itself had a small resistance across it, the button was replaced and also a couple of dry joints were re-flowed around the LED.
A Duracell battery has been supplied on return.
