Remote bleeps but does not start unti, I’ve changed batteries

This Air curtain ac3rn remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting as per normal.  The control was opened to check for defects but no problem could be replicated.

The code being emitted was then tested and confirmed to be the correct signal.

It may be that the receiver part of the heater is at fault.
