This brake tester remote arrived safely and on inspection the screen was broken (this cannot be replaced).

The buttons were found to have decomposing contacts (see image) and also the oscillator was hanging off the board.  Replacement button contacts were glued into place and a replacement oscillator was fitted.  The remote now responds to its button presses as normal.
