Customer's Fault Description
There is a loose connection for one of the positive battery terminals. I have temporarily wedged battery in using aluminium foil and the handset does turn on. It even makes the gas fire ignition click but the fire does not come on.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fire controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminal was completely detached from the PCB (See image).
The terminal was re-soldered into place which restored full functionality.
Please note that a detached battery terminal will not effect the receivers ability to ignite the fire. If the receiver acknowledges the remotes signal but doesn't ignite the fire the customer may find that there may be a fault with the receiver itself. The remote has been fully tested and is functioning as per normal.
