This Panasonic remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.

On inspection one of the battery terminals was found to be heavily contaminated (see image).  When the terminal was etched clean the remote sprang to life. 

The clone remote that was sent with the original is not compatible, the code was tested and does not match.   The model the clone is intended for is a RAK-RX316W
