Dodgy contacts since new, now will open but won't close, suspect ir led replacement similar to your repair shown
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This roof light controller arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a bad battery terminal. This was replaced with a sprint terminal and then it was confirmed that the close button was not operational. This was due to the connecting ribbon cable for the button facia being partially unplugged from the connector. The cable was re-seated properly which restored full functionality.
