Customer's Fault Description
Remote stopped working and activating the gas fire. I've tried a new battery in the remote, and a new power pack for the gas fire itself, but seems that the pressing of the 2 buttons to activate the fire is no longer working. Not sure if it's a button issue or an IR bulb issue. In looking for a replacement controller I found you and the fact that you seemed to have repaired similar remotes in the past, so hoping you can resurrect the remote - thanks
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely from Ireland and on inspection the retaining clip of the battery cover was missing (this cannot be replaced as they are not available as spares). On testing the remote was confirmed to have faulty buttons and a broken battery cable, all 4 buttons were replaced as well as the battery cable which restored full functionality.
