Customer's Fault Description
The Mertik Maxitrol G30-ZRRS is only works if the transmitter and receiver are placed directly in contact with each other. Even at a distance of 1cm the receiver LED doesn't illuminate when the transmitter buttons are pressed. New batteries installed in both.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was found not to be transmitting at all.
This was due to a faulty transducer in the handset itself, a replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
No problem was found with the receiver.
