Customer's Fault Description
Up and down buttons not working properly and continuously. Still sends the signals but has to push the up or down buttons repeatedly to increase or decrease the fire
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be functioning as per normal operation.  When tested with our bench receiver the receiver would respond every time as normal.

It was concluded that the issue is with the customers receiver unit.  It is recommended to replace all the batteries in the receiver and also take note that if the receiver has any contamination / corrosion over the terminals then i can only recommend replacing the entire receiver due to issues that can occur with battery leaked receivers (such as randomly turning the fire on without any user intervention) 

The receiver was sent across to us after talking to he customer and on inspection there was signs of a battery leak and when opened parts of the print had started to corrode due to acid contamination traversing around the board, due to the prescence of a battery leak a repair is not possible.
