Customer's Fault Description
The unit does not operate any function at all. I cannot detect any signal from the unit when any button is pressed.
This remote is a new replacemnet supplied by manufacturer, when the original went defective after very little use .This remote was used daily for a period of three weeks before becoming defective
I have stripped it and tried to clean. I cannot see any defect, but have no idea what im looking for
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
After a component test was carried out it was concluded that the issue lay with the main IC.
the IC was ordered and fitted which restored full functionality. There was also signs of corrosion over some of the buttons which was cleaned as a precaution.
