Customer's Fault Description
small square plastic piece on back of remote has come loose from the solder.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on inspection the case was damaged and held together with tape.

On testing the control was dead and the oscillator was missing.  A replacement Oscillator was fitted which restored functionality.   The tape holding the remote together was removed and cleaned and hot glue was used to strengthen the control, a little tape was then used to hold the battery cover into place.
