Customer's Fault Description
Most function buttons do not work ie. On/Off, Guide, Function Menu, Back/Return, and most number buttons not working.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Freeview Settop Box DMA-XW380 remote controller arrived safely and on testing was found to have many sluggish / non responsive buttons.
On opening this was found to be due to a large amount of liquid contamination over the button array and PCB. The components were given an alcohol bath to remove all contaminants which restored functionality o most of the buttons. Some were found to have lost their conductivity, replacement conductive pads were glued into place on these buttons which restored full functionality.
