Customer's Fault Description
No transmission from 4 rows of buttons on Vol+ up to ADPT. If any of these buttons are depressed when the backlight is on, the backlight goes out. Some kind of earth fault?
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a few rows of non functioning buttons. On opening this was eventually found to be due to a shorted junction (it seemed to have a large blob of solder which had started to short across another junction)
The junction was reworked which restored full functionality.
