the remote does not activate anymore on switching on and off and activating and controlling the radio or the CD player.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on testing all buttons were functioning except the Power and Volume buttons.

This is a common issue caused by worn button contacts on the most used buttons.  Replacement conductive pads were glued into place which restored full functionality.
