Customer's Fault Description
The reset button not working and also raising foot rest
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection the remote had been opened prior to arrival as the 5th screw was missing and also the side grip was detached from the remote. The cable also was found to be damaged.
On opening the PCB had signs of a burning and damaged print due to a previous repair attempt (see image). A diode was missing and the pads to resolder a new diode was badly damaged.
The print was reworked and a diode fitted, this then had to be hot glued to prevent vibration / moment from damaging the already loose print.
A replacement cable was then fitted and replacement conductive pads glued into place.
