Customer's Fault Description
The remote control suddenly stopped working, and will not switch the television on. As the television is specially designed for bathroom use it has no controls apart from the remote, so it cannot be used until the remote is fixed.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was conformed to be dead.
This was found to be due to 2 issues the first was the LED was breaking away from the PCB but also there was a corrosion spot in the print caused by moisture contamination. The LED was resoldered and the print reworked which restored full functionality.
