Concern for Comfort Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : remote not working. lights do not work although the small individual light occasionally lights up for a short time before fading.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening one issue was found to be that the battery terminals were wired up incorrectly (the + was - and vice versa), this was rectified but the buttons were then found to be sluggish / non responsive.
Replacement conductive caps were glued on to each button which restored full functionality.
Please note that the red visible light will not illuminate unless you have a dying battery as this red light is used only to indicate that the battery is dead or too low to function. It does not illuminate on each button press.
