Customer's Fault Description
The remote control suddenly stopped working, only the standby button works on the remote, then fireplace will not come back on after trying all the buttons. I think there is a fault with the remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminal was badly damaged meaning no power was getting to the PCB (see image).  A replacement terminal was fitted which restored full functionality to the remote (see testing video)
