Customer's Fault Description
Device does not respond to any button presses even with new batteries in the remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This CD Player controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
This was due to a contaminated battery terminal. It would appear that there has been a battery leak in the past which had left crystalized acid on one of the terminals. This was causing a resistance to the battery power which was reading just 0.6 volts on the PCB. The terminal was cleared of all contaminants which restored full functionality.
