Customer's Fault Description
Remote does not work at all. Even with new batteries there is no screen display and no response from the extractor.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Ceiling mounted kitchen extractor remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
The facia was peeled back and it was found that the voltage from the battery block was just 1.5 volts instead of 3. On closer inspection the battery terminals had signs of a battery leak, this had corroded the internal negative wire causing a resistance. The battery block was replaced which restored full functionality.
Please note that due to the facia needing to be "peeled" to open it there is some slight markings as the vinyl front was stretched (see testing video), this is unavoidable due to the nature of the case assembly.
