Customer's Fault Description
Had problems for months, kept it working by opening it up and cleaning the printed circuit which has been fine but from last weekend this fix has failed
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This CCTV remote arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was missing and the case had many cracks around its edges. The battery cover and case cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
On testing the remote was found to be dead. This was due to a break in the print on one of the battery terminals. This was reworked which restored power but most of the buttons were non responsive. This was due to a worn button contacts. Replacement conductive pads were glued onto each of the buttons which restored full functionality.
