Customer's Fault Description
The electronics doe not work. When i insert the battery in the hand set the red light comes on but it does not switch off until i remove it from the hand set. Could it the reason for the electronics to fail?
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to have erratic function with the LED being on without a button being pressed.
When opened there was sings of a battery leak / corrosion. One of the terminals were replace, the mode switch cleaned and the oscillator replace, this restored full functionality.
