Customer's Fault Description
The Remote doesn't work at all.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on testing the power button was found not to respond.

On opening this was found to be due to worn button contacts and also some contamination over the PCB.

The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and a replacement conductive pad glued into place on the power button.  This restored full functionality.
