Dimplex fire Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : I washed the control in the washing machine
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to be missing its battery cover (this cannot be replaced as spares are not available).
On adding a set of batteries the remote was found to be transmitting as per normal operation. The control was tested over a 24 hour period at random intervals with no issue being replicated.
The code being transmitted was also tested and found to match exactly with the stock code.
This item has been classed as no fault found. It could be possible that the issue is with the fire itself or it could have been a temporary issue caused by moisture from the "wash" which has simply dried up over time. The control was opened to check for defects but again no issue could be found.
A set of AAA batteries will be supplied fitted on return to eliminate the possibility of the issue being the customers batteries.
