Customer's Fault Description
Treadmill not getting a signal from remote draining battery
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to short the battery connection when added.
This was due to part of the battery terminal having a sharp edge which was cutting into a diagonal trace and shorting out the power.
The terminal was reworked and the LED re-soldered as one of its legs had broken away from the PCB. Full functionality was restored.
A Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return.
