Mertik Maxitrol G30 ZRHD Remote Repair Details

Model : G30 ZRHD
Customers Fault Description : Top button when pressed sends the gas valve knob anti-clockwise and won’t stop.. the valve gets to the end and carries on.
Bottom button will momentarily arrest the gas valve movement but won’t turn the valve clockwise
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting as per normal operation. When inspection the case was held together by tape and on tested with our bench receiver no issue could be replicated. The control was then tested randomly over a 24 hour period again with no fault being found.
The issue is most likely with the receiver itself, the customer is to check the receiver especially the battery terminals, if there is any signs of corrosion, contamination, dulling of the terminals then its highly likely that it has suffered a battery leak. If it has then we can only recommend obtaining a replacement receiver (these can be found on eBay, only purchase brand new and not refurbished)
