Customer's Fault Description
Remote doesn't appear to be transmitting (using phone camera test). New batteries fitted (and tested) to no avail.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This extractor fan remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
This was due to a broken oscillator which had broken away from the PCB (see image).
The oscillator was replaced which restored full functionality.
