Customer's Fault Description
The screen of the remote will no longer turn on either using batteries or using the USB cable. Occasionally it does flash on and off intermittently. This means that the window cannot be opened.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
The battery terminals had signs of a battery leak causing corrosion, the terminals were re-plated but the issue remained, it was found that the negative and positive wires from the battery housing were short circuited due to bare wires. The wires were reworked which restored full functionality.
