Customer's Fault Description
went through washing machine!
lights come on but no response from garage door
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing the remote was intermittent to respond on its button presses and the LED was flashing meaning there was an undervoltage.
The under voltage was due to the incorrect battery being fitted, the correct batteries were fitted but which sorted the voltage but the intermittent signal was still present.
The solder points on the battery housing had signs of corrosion and also the button contacts were heavily contaminated / corroded from the water contamination (see image below).
The Housing solder was reflowed and the button array etched clean, this restored full functionality (See )
A set of Duracell CR2016 batteries will be supplied fitted on return.
