Just doesn't work at all
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This extractor fan remote arrived safely from London and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
One of the battery terminals showed signs of a possible battery leak and also the PCB inside had liquid contaminations (see images). The terminals and PCB / Button array was cleaned up but the issue remained.
It was found that the issue was caused by the IC breaking away form the PCB. The solder on the IC was reflowed which restored full functionality.
