Customer's Fault Description
Control unit on fire appears ok - new batteries. When I reverse the terminals the gas valve motor operates, but it does not respond to the remote control unit (new battery fitted).
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Mertik Maxitrol remote arrived safely from Suffolk and on testing was powering on but no signal was being transmitted.

This was due to a faulty US transducer, a replacement transducer was fitted which restored full functionality (see testing video)
